The University of Siena hosts international researchers and visiting professors in the framework of international mobility programmes such us Erasmus + Staff mobility for teaching, bilateral agreements, Coimbra Group Scholarship Programmes, etc.).
When working in a Unisi research centre/laboratory, the Welcome Desk for International Researchers, a member of the EURAXESS network, is at your disposal to help you to prepare your stay.

To organize your stay in the best conditions, it is a good idea to plan it as early as possible. We advise you to begin the process 4 months before your visit to the University of Siena.
The University of Siena is launching a “Questionnaire assessing The University of Siena as a host institution for international research lecturers”
International professors and researchers who have spent a period engaged in research and/or teaching at the University of Siena are asked to complete this questionnaire in order to assess their level of satisfaction with its research services and facilities.
The questionnaire also aims to find out to what degree international researchers feel Unisi has implemented the principles of the European Researchers' Charter and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
Responses will be anonymous and data will be processed in aggregate form.
Le Linee Guida sulla procedure di accettazione e coordinamento dei docenti e ricercatori internazionali sono state approvate dal Consiglio di Amministrazione il 24 aprile 2020.
Le linee guida mirano a individuare e al contempo snellire tutte le procedure amministrative necessarie per l'ingresso e l'accoglienza dei visiting professors e dei ricercatori internazionali.

Il gruppo di lavoro sull’accoglienza di Scholars at risk Italia ha redatto un Vademecum con linee guida per l’accoglienza in Italia di studiosi/e a rischio.
Il documento si propone di:
- delineare le procedure amministrative generali;
- stabilire i requisiti minimi dell’accoglienza da parte delle strutture ospitanti;
- sottolineare il ruolo e l’importanza dell’attività di ‘mentoring’ nell’accompagnamento degli/le studiosi/e;
- delineare alcuni percorsi per supportare gli/le studiosi/e nella ricerca di nuove opportunità lavorative.
