SMILE is a project funded by Erasmus+, the EU programme for education, training, youth and sports. Namely, it is a Strategic Partnership in the field of school education and it was approved in 2015 under the Key Action 2, supporting cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices at European level.
The main objective of SMILE is to develop an innovative didactic format for primary education (the SMILE toolkit), which is based on the use of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology applied to sustainable mobility issues. The SMILE partnership promotes cooperation between schools and civil society organisations and aims at constituting a stable network of organisations cooperating at international level for the promotion of problem based learning at school and the adoption of non-formal education methods.
