The project aims to improve the development of emotional intelligence as a key competence that can effectively contribute to enhance inclusion at lower secondary school level.
The project support teachers in creating an educational environment in which students can develop their emotional intelligence skills to consolidate their key competences; the project aims to mprove student capacity to develop their personal and interpersonal key competences based on emotional intelligence. The main project activities focus on:
- Creation of an online training package and a collection of lesson plans on how to develop emotional intelligence as a key to impact on school communities in terms of solidarity and inclusion
- Assessment of the impact of the training package and lesson plans on the enhancement of emotional intelligence
- Creation of a Publication to raise awareness on how the development of emotional intelligence can contribute to school inclusion.
The main results are:
- Digital Training package to address teachers on how to foster emotional intelligence as a key competence
- Lesson Plans on how to make use of the innovative methodologies based on emotional intelligence to enhance students key competences and impact on school communities in terms of solidarity and inclusion
- Publication providing a set of recommendations to school communities, decision and policy makers on how to help students develop emotional intelligence
