Preparation of the book on Critical incidents and discussion of next project activities

The project CIICPD (Critical Incidents in Intercultural Communication and Promoting Diversity), coordinated by Skoda Auto University, is at half of its implementation.

 

Today the partners of the CIICPD project participated in an online meeting. In the event, partners discussed the progress in preparing a chapter of the book on critical incidents. Each partner of the CIICPD project will analyse the concept of critical incidents from a different angle and write a chapter on this project's collective result.

 

The meeting was also the occasion to discuss the participation of the project team in the Cross-Cultural-Business Conference (CCBC 2022), hosted by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and taking place on May 12-13, 2022, at Steyr (Austria).

 

During the CCBC 2022 event, the CIICPD consortium will gather for a project meeting and present the collective article "The Potential of Critical Incidents: A Cross-Cultural Comparison".

The CIICP project gathers partners from 5 different countries (Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Finland and Italy), 5 higher education institutions (Skoda Auto University, University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, West Saxon University of Applied Sciences of Zwickau, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Siena).

 

The project aims to analyse critical incidents in multicultural environments and deal with cultural diversity. This environment is represented by educational institutions participating in the project and multicultural companies/institutions where students (and future employees) work during their compulsory or optional internships. Based on this analysis, there will be proposed ways to work with critical incidents, eliminate their causes, and use their positive potential for the development of personality and corporate culture.
