Marco Casini was born in Siena, Italy, in 1973. He received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in information engineering and the PhD in control systems from the University of Siena, Siena, Italy, in 1999 and 2003, respectively.
In 2005, he joined the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione e Scienze Matematiche of the University of Siena, where he is currently an Assistant Professor.
In summer 2001 he was a visiting researcher at the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA.
He is the author of several publications in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include set-membership system identification and modeling, pursuit-evasion games, remote laboratories of automatic control, smart grids and forecasting of energy from renewables.
