Welcome Week for international exchange students

Orientation activity for the international students studying at the University of Siena during the first semester 2021-2022 (Erasmus and Overseas  students)

The University of Siena is glad to welcome exchange students in presence and provide them with all the necessary information for their study period in Siena.

The Welcome Week for the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year will take place from September 27th to October 3rd 2021.

Monday 27th we start with the Welcome Conference, which will take place in the main building of the University (Palazzo del Rettorato, Via Banchi di Sotto, 55).

Programme

10 am WELCOME TO USIENA 

• Welcome by Prof. Francesco Frati, Rector of the University of Siena and Prof. Luca Verzichelli, Vice-Rector for International Relations 
• Introduction to learning methods at USiena during the a.y. 2021/2021: face-to-face classes and online classes 
• Introduction to welcome activities, by Dr. Annalisa Poggialini, Director of the International Relations Office 

11 am STUDYING ITALIAN IN SIENA 

• Presentation of the Italian language course, by the University for Foreigners 

11.15 am FACILITIES FOR STUDENTS

• Presentation of the DSU services for students: accommodation, canteens, culture and sport, by the DSU Toscana Company and the Sport University Center (CUS) 
• Covid-19, Vaccination and Green Pass, by Azienda USL Toscana Sud Est 

12 pm Meet USiena students 

• Introduction to the Tutoring Service
• Introduction to student association ESN Siena GES

The event is organized by the International Relations Division with the collaboration of ESN Siena GES.
