Unless a different schedule is specified, the seminars will usually take place in Aula Franco Romani, at the Faculty of Economics, via San Francesco 1, Siena from 15.00 to 18.00.

How to get to Siena

HOW TO GET TO SIENA FROM FLORENCE

BY CAR - Coming from the north on the motorway / freeway (Autostrada del Sole - the A1), leave at Firenze Certosa. Immediately after the tollgate take the Superstrada Firenze-Siena (4 lanes) for 60 kilometres.

BY BUS - Siena - Florence
The RAPIDO is the best bus to get - other buses have more stops and take longer.

BY TRAIN - http://www.trenitalia.com

from Florence airport to the train station: you can reach the SM Novella train station by taxi (15 min) or by Bus (SITA/Ataf service, 20 min). From there you can take the abovementioned train and bus connections to Siena.

HOW TO GET TO SIENA FROM PISA

BY CAR - From the airport take the main road towards Florence. When you get near Florence (Firenze) you should follow signs for Rome / the A1 motorway towards south (try to avoid the centre of Florence!). This takes you around Florence until you get to the exit Firenze Certosa. Leave the motorway here and take the dual carriageway to Siena.

BY TRAIN - There are no buses from Pisa to Siena and you always have to change trains at Empoli. Railways timetable is available here.

from Pisa airport to Florence: there is a direct train connection with the SM Novella train station in Florence. The timetable is available here.

HOW TO GET TO SIENA FROM ROME

BY CAR - From the south take the motorway / freeway (Autostrada del Sole - the A1) and leave at Val di Chiana. Follow signs for Siena (2 lane road) for 50 Km.
The historical centre of Siena is closed to traffic. There is a large car park at the Stadium (follow directions for the Stadio, San Domenico), which is very near to the school.

BY TRAIN - From Rome airport there are shuttle trains to the centre approx. every 15 minutes. From the centre you can catch a bus or train to Siena:

BY BUS - If you wish to take a bus to Siena, take a shuttle train to Roma TIBURTINA. Bus timetables are available here

If you wish to take a train, take a shuttle train to Roma TERMINI. Train timetable is available here. note that you have to change trains in Chiusi (there are no direct trains).
