First European Workshop in Drug Synthesis

May, 14 – 19, 2006 – Certosa di Pontignano, Siena (Italy):

The University of Siena is organizing the "First European Workshop in Drug Synthesis" (EWDSy), to be held, from May, 14th to 19th, in Certosa di Pontignano, on the outskirt of the beautiful city of Siena, in Tuscany. The first 2 days will be dedicated to Synthesis of Drugs, followed by 1 day to discovery in Medicinal Chemistry and the last 2 days dedicated to Supported Reagents in Organic Synthesis. The first and the last 2 days will consist in lessons in the morning and exercises in the afternoon, while the third day will consist of lectures in the morning and discussions in the afternoon.

EWDSy will feature more than 20 well known researchers from the University and from the Pharmaceutical Industry, including directors of research, working with a maximum number of 65 workshop participants.

With the purpose to stimulate helpful discussions, attendees will be invited to present in poster format their own research problems. Participation in the First European Workshop in Drug Synthesis is limited to 65 applicants, selected on the basis of individual experience.

Fee for participation (Euro 1.500,00 ) will include all meals and hotel accommodation in two-bed rooms for six nights (some single rooms are also available, supplementary fee Euro 200,00).
