Call for Papers - Submission

Il CRISS (Centro Interuniversitario di Ricerca sullo Stato Sociale) promuove il primo workshop per giovani economisti. Coloro che stiano svolgendo il dottorato di ricerca o lo abbiano completato da non più di quattro anni, sono invitati a sottoporre papers inerenti alle seguenti aree tematiche:
" capitale umano e sociale;
" crescita e distribuzione;
" integrazione economica internazionale;
" welfare state e competitività;
" welfare state e invecchiamento;
" welfare state, mercati incompleti e incentivi.
Il workshop si terrà il 31/05/2004 e il 01/06/2004 presso la Facoltà di Economia dell'Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza, via del Castro Laurenziano 9. Coloro che intendessero presentare un proprio contributo dovranno registrarsi entro il 15/03/2004 presso il sito del CRISS inserendo anche un abstract di circa 2000 caratteri. L'eventuale accettazione sarà comunicata entro il 31/03/2004. I papers accettati dovranno essere inviati in versione definitiva entro il 15/05/2004. Le sessioni del meeting saranno definite in base ai papers selezionati. Sono previsti senior discussants.

Il CRISS è stato costituito nel 2002 tra le università di Siena, Roma "La Sapienza" e Milano "Bocconi". Il comitato direttivo è composto da Nicola Acocella, Roberto Artoni, Francesco Farina, Maurizio Franzini (direttore) e Ugo Pagano. Fanno parte del comitato scientifico: Anthony Atkinson, Samuel Bowles, Marcello De Cecco, Peter Diamond, Joan Esteban, Tim Smeeding, Rick Van der Ploeg, Philippe Van Parijs. 		CRISS (Network on the Economics of the Welfare State) organises its first workshop for young economists. Candidates currently doing a PhD or candidates who have already completed a PhD (no longer than 4 years earlier), are invited to submit papers within the following main topics:
- Human and social capital;
- Growth and distribution;
- International and economic integration;
- Welfare State and competitiveness;
- Welfare State and ageing;
- Welfare State, incomplete markets and incentives.
The Workshop will be held on May 31st and June 1st 2004 at the Faculty of Economics, Rome University "La Sapienza", Via del Castro Laurenziano, 9. Candidates willing to present a paper are requested to enter their registration within the 15th of March 2004 directly on the CRISS website, including a 2000 characters abstract. The possible acceptance will be communicated within March 31st 2004 and the accepted papers will have to be submitted in their final version no later than May 15th 2004. The meeting sessions will be set up on the basis of the selected papers. Senior discussants are foreseen.

CRISS was founded in 2002 by the University of Siena, The University of Rome "La Sapienza" and the University of Milan "Bocconi" .
